National Simp Alert Level ELEVATED
Advisory No.

In response to
summer festival and concert season
Status

The Institute for Applied Dignity is raising the national Simp Alert Level to ELEVATED for the duration of summer festival season. The dense concentration of low-context closeness at a festival is a documented source of catastrophic projection.

I. The Conditions

A festival supplies a shared blanket, a held drink, and a continuous stream of "you have to hear this." Each is a moment. None is a commitment. The subject logs all of them as milestones by the second night.

II. The Mechanism

The collaborative playlist is the new mixtape. "Send me whatever" is heard as a standing request, and a 47-track emotional archive is assembled before the headliner. A story posted from the same set is privately filed as a soft launch.

III. Standing Guidance

Lending sunscreen is not a betrothal. A shared set is not a relationship unless both parties were notified. Citizens are advised that a connection formed in a crowd should be re-evaluated indoors. The advisory remains until the last set concludes.

IAD Field Data

IAD Field Data, Summer Index: 79% of festival "connections" did not survive contact with a group chat. The remaining 21% are still "figuring out what they are."
